Land Raider Proteus

The completed Land Raider Proteus. This will be the level of weathering on the vehicles, hairspray chipping, Seraphim Sepia wash and then sponged chipping with black brown. The tracks are Vallejo Track Primer with Mig Productions' pigments scrubbed in, finished with graphite for the bare metal. Just painting the Mk III crewman for this.

A quick in progress shot of the Land Raider. The white is chipped using the 'hairspray' method, then it has the decal applied and a first overall wash of Seraphim Sepia. The important thing with the wash is to mix it with Lahmian Medium, that way no nasty tide marks! More later, including some proper photos.

Tau army

Another look at one of my 40K armies: my spectacularly unsuccessful Tau. I like the idea of these guys but I have been thoroughly thrashed in like 9 out of 10 games. I've tried lots of lists but think I might have the key now as I've painted an ethereal. Anyway, I like them . . .

So some images of assembled Forgeworld figures. Cataphractii sergeant with lightning claws, Legion Support squad, apothecary, and command from the tactical squad. Shoulder pads and backpacks left off to aid painting, of which more later.

The Legionnaries are all in Mk. III armour, except for the Destroyer squad. To come . . . a Deimos Pattern Rhino, Assault squad, another Predator, Mk IIB Landraider. Will post up images very soon  . . .
